Devin Currie is a tech-savvy former aeronautical engineer with a knack for problem-solving. Frustrated by the shortage of sign language interpreters, Devin set out to make interpreters more accessible by bringing Video Remote Interpreting (VRI) to Canada. VRI allows the Deaf and hearing to communicate with each other by connecting to a remote sign language interpreter who will appear on-screen via the Internet. Devin works closely with Malka Communications in Los Angeles and additional service options were eventually added to accommodate clients with a different range of needs/preferences such as remote captioning and onsite interpretation. When not working, Devin loves biking and playing Frisbee golf.
